ABOUT US
The law firm “Nurhadian Kartohadiprodjo Noorcahyo”, or also called “NKNLegal”, was established in mid September 2007 by three founders, Aji Nurhadian, Sudiotomo Kartohadiprodjo, and Finsa Noorcahyo, who each has years of experience in the industry.
Each founder has continuous commitment to developing the firm with full integrity and initiatives, enjoyable learning and contributing environment, as well as to perform professionally and to bring up high quality services.

The Foundation
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Indonesian State Philosophy
Being an Indonesian law firm, we adhere to the philosophical foundation of the state called “Pancasila” or the Five Principles, which are enshrined in the Constitution of 1945, and therefore providing the fundamental source of laws in Indonesia. The Pancasila comprises five principles that are integral and inseparable.
Indonesian Coat of Arms
Indonesia’s coat of arms is represented in a golden eagle, named the “Garuda,” being a mythical figure mentioned in ancient Indonesian epics. It also has been portrayed in various temples from the 6th century and onward. The eagle symbolizes creative energy. Its principal color, gold, suggests the greatness of the nation. The black color represents the nature. The 17 feathers on each wing, eight on the tail and 45 on the neck stand for the date of the Proclamation of Indonesia’s Independence on the 17th of August, 1945.
The motto “Bhinneka Tunggal Ika,” an old Javanese expression meaning Unity in Diversity, is enshrined on a banner held by the talons of the Garuda. The motto stems from verse 139 of the epic “Kakawin Sutasoma” (Poem of King Sutasoma) written by Mpu Tantular, the holy man of letters who lived during the reign of King Hayam Wuruk of the Majapahit Kingdom of the 14th century. It indicates and signifies the unity of the Indonesian people despite their diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. The shield symbolizes self-defense in struggle and protection of the nation. The red and white colors on the shield’s background denote the colors of the Indonesian national flag. The five symbols on the shield respectively represent the five fundamentals of the Pancasila state philosophy, being the foundation of the Indonesian state.
